ABOUT
Tucked between the buzz of the Westport entertainment district and the streetcar stop on Main Street, this unique stretch of Westport is where Kansas City’s past and future meet.

Panoramic drawing of Westport, Missouri, looking north along Pennsylvania Avenue from south of Westport Road. Once a humble trading post on the edge of the frontier, Westport quickly grew into a thriving hub where fur trappers and farmers exchanged goods and stories. Wagon trains bound for the California, Oregon, and Santa Fe Trails gathered here, stocking up for the long journey west and shaping the spirit of movement and ambition that still defines this district today.
What was the last stop for pioneers heading west on the Oregon and Santa Fe Trails now welcomes a new generation of trailblazers–
MAKERS, ARTISTS, MERCHaNTS
all carving fresh paths forward.

This district is a celebration of diversity, creativity, and charm. Westport East is more than a place to shop, it’s a gateway for all to explore, connect, and embrace the eccentric. This is Westport’s most storied block, ready for its next chapter.
